Small Projects.

Big Community Impact.

At Dynamic Music Studios, community outreach is woven into our mission. We believe music education should do more than build technique—it should foster empathy, connection, and a sense of responsibility to the world around us.

Through performances, donation drives, and fundraising events, our students experience how music can serve others while strengthening ties between our studio and the greater Coralville and Iowa City communities.

Why Community Outreach Matters

Our community service initiatives:

  • Build camaraderie among students and families

  • Create meaningful, low-pressure performance opportunities

  • Strengthen partnerships with local nonprofits and organizations

  • Help students experience the power of music as service

  • Attract families who value generosity, leadership, and community engagement

These projects are intentionally designed to be accessible for studios and students of all ages and experience levels—proving that even small efforts can create lasting impact.

“I value helping the community. I think it is really nice for us to do the coat drive and spread music around the community. I liked seeing the animals at the Safe Haven event.”

— Gretchen, voice student of Dr. Saunders for 10 years.

A Growing Culture of Service

Service has always been a cornerstone of our studio. What began as simple donation drives has evolved into an intentional, year-round commitment to giving back.

Over time, our outreach has grown to include:

  • Canned food drives connected to studio recitals

  • Annual Practice-a-thons benefiting local and regional organizations

  • Seasonal clothing drives addressing real community needs

  • Benefit performances that connect students directly with the causes they support

Each year, our students see how consistent effort and shared purpose can make a tangible difference.
