Why did you decide to start lessons?

I wanted to grow my voice dreams. I wanted to improve my voice because I knew I could do better. (I also remember her dad felt she had a really pretty voice as well and wanted her to grow that skill.)

How long have you been taking lessons?

4 years this month!

Do you play any other instruments?

Piano- 4 years

How often do you practice?

Every Day

What is one of your favorite pieces you have learned so far?

So many! Favorite Things from The Sound Music- this was our first song

What advice do you have for other musicians studying your instrument?

It is ok if you think you don’t sound good, because you DO sound good. 

What do you enjoy about lessons?

I like when my teacher asks me about my day. I like that i get to pick some of my songs. In choir and piano I don’t usually get to pick what to do, so it is nice to have the freedom to pick. And if I don’t know what to pick, you always have good suggestions of what to work on.

What goals do you have for lessons?

Finish all of my Theory Books

What is your favorite musical/orchestral work/piano piece/artist/favorite song? Beethoven for Piano. Billie Eilish and Benson Boone. 

What hobbies do you have outside of voice lessons?

Drawing, biking, reading, worship team, singing, organizing, hanging out with friends. 

Isa has a beautiful soprano voice and she has an exceptional ear and skill for pop styles, including riffs and runs! It is a pleasure to work with Isa each week.-- Dr. J
