Why did you decide to start lessons?

I’ve always wanted to learn cello, but we didn’t have an orchestra program growing up

How long have you been taking lessons?

Nine months!

Do you play any other instruments?

The Alto Saxophone

How often do you practice?

Three times a week

What is one of your favorite pieces you have learned so far?

Simple Gifts and Minutes No. 2. 

What advice do you have for other musicians studying your instrument?

It’s never too late to start playing an instrument! 

What do you enjoy about lessons?

They are educational yet enjoyable. 

What do you like about Dynamic Music Studios?

It’s very approachable and they are a woman owned small business. And everyone is professional and knows what they are doing.  

What goals do you have for lessons?

Eventually I want to know all the note names (lol). I also am looking forward to playing “real” cello literature that isn’t just an educational piece to learn technique. 

What is your favorite musical/orchestral work/piano piece/artist/favorite song?

I really like bluegrass/americana/fiddle music, such as Sierra Ferrell. 

What hobbies do you have outside of cello lessons?

Hiking, canning, reading, crafts (I’m trying to learn how to sew).
