Student Spotlight: Kaylee Vogel, viola

Kaylee is a viola student of Christina Mixemong, Co-owner and viola/violin instructor  at Dynamic Music Studios in Coralville, Iowa.

Why did you decide to start lessons?

          I heard fiddle music and wanted to play violin.

How long have you been taking lessons?

          Half a year

Do you play any other instruments?

I started on violin, but switched to viola because the high pitches shivered my spine.

How often do you practice?

          3-4 times a week

What is one of your favorite pieces you have learned so far?

          Down Kiwi Up Kiwi

What advice do you have for other musicians studying your instrument?

          Don’t give up & keep trying.

What do you enjoy about lessons?

          Learning new stuff.

          I like my teacher.
