Student Spotlight: Sharon Liao

Why did you decide to start lessons?

I was inspired by seeing someone playing violin on America’s Got Talent.

How long have you been taking lessons?

Almost 4 years

Do you play any other instruments?


How often do you practice?

Almost every day

What is one of your favorite pieces you have learned so far?

There was an etude I played that I really liked. Christina told me how she performed it for a marriage proposal in City Park years ago because it was so beautiful.

What advice do you have for other musicians studying your instrument?

Enjoy the time you have with it.

What do you enjoy about lessons?

Practicing and learning new pieces.

What do you like about Dynamic Music Studios?

The people are really friendly.

What goals do you have for lessons?

To get better at violin

What is your favorite musical/orchestral work/piano piece/artist?

The etude from Etudes Speciales, Op. 36 by J.F. Mazas. It’s #18 Romance.

What are some other activities in which you participate?

Reading, video games, YouTube, and playing with my 3 year-old sister, Cynthia.
